xxygm93 and darkpeachhy asked a question that is pretty much the same! So I decided to do a separate post to it! Both of them were talking about how horrible MC is to Sofie and here is a little colorful comic that I made about what is happening JUST BEFORE Wukong is going to feral apeshit!
This moment will be Sofie's most horrible situation and luckily after this incident, she will not get hurt like that. After MC told her his plan Sofie said as she was scared but her adrenaline was high: "That will not work..b-because you can't do it! You are not Sun Wukong even if you try to be! And you will never be like him! What you are is a monster-" before she could finish MC took a hold of her head and slammed it to the ground hard enough that Sophie thought she will pass out. But just before that could happen MC had something to say to her face before our hero is here to save the day!
Hey! Our beloved king shows up at the end of New Gods:Yang Jian!
Looks like they updated his model, looking more smooth! Love him nonetheless! 💖💖💖
Happy 30th anniversary to Mortal Kombat! On the 8th of October, in 1992, Midway Games, with Ed Boon and John Tobias at the helm, created a science-fantasy themed fighting game, which they originally wanted to have Jean-Claude Can Damme in, but when the deal fell through, they instead settled for creating Johnny Cage, a fighting movie star, as an homage to him! That was the first Mortal Kombat with Sub-Zero, Kano Raiden, Sonya Blade, Scorpion and Liu Kang joining Johnny Cage in the fight, with even fighting games' first secret character, Reptile, being accessed through a secret code imput.
As of now, Mortal Kombat has surpassed both Street Fighter and Tekken and is now the bestselling fighting game franchise in the world, and one of the most successful video game franchises in general.
Fatalities were of course also born that day, Mortal Kombat's brutal finishing moves that not only knockout your opponent but literally obliterate them! The controversy surrounding Mortal Kombat's brutal content led, in part, to the creation of the ESRB. Another key feature that Mortal Kombat did not introduce but definitely popularized was digitised sprites, with actual actors being hired to dress up as the characters and execute their moves. To save development costs, many actors would be used, dressed in the same costume with the colour changed in editing, for multiple different characters, like how Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Reptile were all palette swaps of each other.
Mortal Kombat has honestly been getting better and better, with 11 being, in my humble opinion, the pinnacle of the series and I hope the next entry in the series will continue this trend and push the series itself as well as the fighting game genre and the video games industry to new heights!
Happy birthday Mortal Kombat!
